Our articles begin as drafts produced with AI research assistance.
Automated quality gates and fact-checking
Every draft passes automated quality gates and a fact-checking pass in which its claims (figures, dates, names, and regulatory facts) are verified against primary sources such as exchange documentation, public on-chain data, and official regulatory information. A draft that fails a gate is held back, not published.
Human approval
Since July 2026, nothing on this site is published automatically: each new article is approved by a human editor before it goes live. Articles published before that date went through the fact-checking process and are being re-reviewed.
What we have not done
Unless an article says otherwise, our reviews are based on documentation, official filings, and public data, not on hands-on testing of the product. Where we do test something ourselves, the article says so and shows it.
Bylines
All content is published under the LakeBTC Editorial Team byline, which is an organizational byline. We do not use fictional author personas. An earlier pseudonymous byline was retired in July 2026, and all published articles were re-attributed to the Editorial Team.

Scores in our reviews are calculated from a published rubric and are never generated freely. See how we research and fact-check.
