This policy explains what information LakeBTC.com collects when you visit the site, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect very little, we do not run advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell personal data.

What we collect
- Server and security logs. Like almost every website, our hosting and our content delivery and security provider (Cloudflare) automatically process technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure, and block abuse. Logs are kept for a limited period and are not used to build profiles of visitors.
- Email you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in the message. We use it only to read and answer your message.
What we do not do
- We do not use advertising networks, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics scripts.
- We do not use affiliate or referral links, so no click or purchase data is shared with the companies we write about.
- We do not offer user accounts, and we do not hold funds, wallets, or trading data of any kind. LakeBTC.com is not an exchange and has no connection to accounts at the former LakeBTC exchange.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data.
Cookies
The public site does not set tracking or advertising cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell real visitors apart from automated traffic. Market prices shown on the site are fetched by our server from CoinGecko; your browser does not contact CoinGecko when you load a page.
Links to other sites
Our articles link to primary sources such as exchanges, regulators, and blockchain explorers. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we have no control over what they collect once you follow a link.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. In practice the only personal data we are likely to hold is an email you sent us. To make a request, email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
